James Gunn Developing Starsky & Hutch TV Show Reboot

THR is reporting that Sony Pictures Television Studio is currently preparing to film a reboot of the Starsky and Hutch TV show. Gunn is attached to the project and being tapped to write the script and potentially direct the pilot – although this would depend on his availability and commitments. His brother Brian Gunn, and cousin Mark Gunn, are also said to be working on the script alongside him. All three of them are also executive-producing with Sony-based Neal Moritz and his Original Film banner topper Pavun Shetty. At this point in the project, the reboot is said to be a “character-driven hour-long procedural”. Apparently the production has been developed in secret since last year, and is only now being promoted and offered out to potential bidders.
