Amityville: The Awakening is set to become the 19th film to bear the Amityville name, and is the first effort to be backed by a major studio since the Reynolds-starring remake. The Awakening completed principal photography back in 2014, and has seen its scheduled release delayed a whopping four times. Now, Deadline reports that The Awakening will be making a rather inauspicious debut, being made available for free on Google Play from October 12 to November 8. The film will also be granted a limited theatrical release, beginning October 28.
