On Tuesday, we made the announcement in USA Today that DC was undertaking a historic renumbering of 52 superhero titles across the line, starting with JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 by our superstar creators Geoff Johns and Jim Lee. The cover to issue #1 is by Jim Lee and Scott Williams.

The orders came from above Didio/Johns/Lee. The 3 of them plus Morrisson have been trying to stop this for months but to no avail. I have no idea if Diane Nelson also came up with it, but I’m tending to think she did.
As to why this is happening?: Apparently the higher ups are sick of seeing Marvel constantly take the market share every month from DC and they’re convinced this is how they’re going to take the lead. There’s talk of if this doesn’t work TW going to more drastic measures but that’s really a leap at this time so I won’t repeat them yet.
But TW knows they’re going to lose a lot of long time readers over this and they’ve got Didio and Johns unfortunately doing damage control that neither of them really want to do. There’s already been other writers and artists who really don’t want to be a part of this “movement” either so we’ll see who all the people are doing these new books.
It seemed ludicrous, contradicting aspects I previously thought were true as well as basic business common sense, but the details of the Batman Inc book being rushed to conclusion, less than half way through the planned twenty-four issues seemed a convincing detail. So I asked.
The comic store owner denied it. Senior DC executives denied it. DC ground troop creators denied it. People I trust who have never led me wrong denied it. And then JMS gave his version of the origins of the DC Relaunch that totally contradicted it.
But the piece started to pop up on website after website and website after website. It wasn’t going away. In fact it was growing.

| Mes observations sur les couvertures et ce que je sais de Flashpoint: - Spoiler:
Sur la couverture de Detective Comics, les traits du menton laissent à penser à une personne âgée. Batman pourrait être Thomas Wayne. Et on retrouve le Joker tueur de bébés annoncé dans la mini-série Knight of Vengeance.
Nightwing parait plus âgée que ses autres incarnations et, à le regarder (et vu l'âge qu'il semble avoir), je me demande si ce n'est pas Bruce Wayne (un jeune Bruce Wayne, à l'âge de ses débuts de Batman).
Pour Batgirl, qui était pourtant annoncée, aucune couverture pour le moment. Mais je me demande si Barbara Gordon ne serait pas en fait Batwoman au lieu de Kathy Kane. J'ai cru comprendre, en lisant les critiques de Knight of Vengeance, que Barbara serait plus âgée dans cet univers (trop âgée pour être "Batgirl" ?) et les deux femmes ont les cheveux roux, ce qui fait que l'apparente ressemblance avec l'ancienne Batwoman pourrait nous induire volontairement en erreur.
Sinon, concernant la nouvelle version de Superman, est-ce qu'on sait s'il y a de gros changements ? Parce qu'avec cette histoire de droits, ce reboot pourrait être l'occasion de réinventer le personnage en virant ou en réinventant certains éléments (mais il resterait le problème du nom). | |

Thomas Wayne ciné. On parle d'un relancement, et d'un changement durable..Il ne s'agit pas d'alliéner la fan base ou les lecteurs potentiels. Et pour eux Batman c'est Bruce Wayne. De plus, un Thomas Wayne qui est quasi un criminel aux yeux des gens ne peut pas faire parti de la ligue de justice, comme l'indique les couvertures..On en sait pas plus sur Superman.

Quand je vois le bas du visage du Batman de Detective Comics, ça me fait vraiment penser à une personne âgée. Et je trouve que Nightwing ressemble au jeune Bruce Wayne (mais après, c'est peut-être une impression effectivement).
