Tom Cruise is Circling Tarantino’s Next Film
Citation :
According to Deadline, there will be two major male roles and Cruise is being considered for one of them. Other actors being considered for either role are Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, though there is no word on other actors who may also be vying for the part. It’s also unclear whether or not all three actors can potentially join the cast, with each of them tackling a different character

Tarantino Says His New Movie Isn’t About Charles Manson
Citation :
As Tarantino has now clarified, Charles Manson would not actually be a central figure in new film. During an appearance at an awards-season brunch in support of his ex-girlfriend Sofia Coppola, Tarantino told IndieWire‘s Anne Thompson, “It’s not Charles Manson, it’s 1969.” In other words, Tarantino means his new film to be a larger tapestry of 1969 – and everything that was going on culturally at the time – with Manson only figuring as one thread. This lines up with a previous report suggesting Manson would not actually be the focus of the new film, but would merely be an evil background character, much like Hitler in the director’s war epic Inglourious Basterds.

Plot Details From Quentin Tarantino’s New Movie Reportedly Emerge
Citation :
As reported by Vanity Fair, whose source claims to have read the script, the film focuses on a “TV actor who’s had one hit series and [is] looking for a way to get into the film business.” The actor is joined by his “sidekick – who’s also his stunt double” who, as it turns out, is also looking to take a shot at making it big in feature films. The Manson murders, then, will be a background element, with one of his followers’ victims, Sharon Tate, presumably linking the two stories together. As has been reported previously, Tarantino has set his sights on Margot Robbie for the role of Tate, which suggests that part may be significant.
