Ben perso ... j'adore Batman!

regwec Shakespearo regwec's Avatar Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Herne's Oak Posts: 19,255 Default Re: The Batsuit Thread - - Part 11 I have done my best to transcribe this so that it is easily quoted.
Kevin Smith-
I have seen the suit.
When the show was all done Zack was like Kev, c’mere, c’mere
He pulls me over to the corner, he whips out his phone and shows me a picture of BATMAN, a live action version of Batman. A very familiar Batman, I might add, didn’t look like any of the cinematic Batmans that have gone before.
And behind that Batman, Superman in the suit looming in the distance
Both like on a roof top kind of thing…set, obviously the set was still (?)
So I was like “Oh my God the suit looks amazing man- what, did you get someone to model it?”
And he said ”actually, boy"- and I looked closely and it was Ben Affleck wearing the suit and I was, “Oh my God!” And the suit it was…I’m not of a mind to spill, you’ll see it, they’ll tell you when they want you to know, but…any Batman fan is going to be ****ing PLEASED I’ll tell you that right now, ****ing beside themselves saying “holy **** they did it, those ****ers (…further profanity indicative of joy) ...you gave him the suit we all wanted to see”.
Oh, it was phenomenal man, and made me happy.
So I’m still looking forward to that, man, I’m way on board.

| Spoilers possible: - Citation :
- Spoiler:
Time for some possible ********. These are rumors I've heard from someone that got fired from the production recently (like the past week). Take this with a grain of salt though, folks. Seriously. Please note that there are some major spoilers here if any of it is true.
The villians are Lex Luthor and Metallo
Batman forms a UN type deal to stop Superman from destroying another city
Aquaman is in it, but not called Aquaman. He's there because the world engine in the ocean did something to the fish
Jason Momao is definitely up for Aquaman
Wonderwoman poses as a Wayne Enterprises investor to retrieve an item that belongs to her people.
Lex Luthor is in the shadows a lot, a manipulator. Not much face time with Superman.
Robin betrayed Batman at some point, leading to a falling out between them
The Batcave was super cool looking, and the mobile looked similar to Burton's
Lois is investigating Lex.
Metallo "kills" Clark
The Daily Planet is bought by Lex Luthor for PR purposes
At the end Superman is living in exile, and the Justice League is an government approved superhero team.
My source is someone from the art department that supposedly got ****canned (apparently a bunch of them were fired). I confirm nothing. Just passing along what I heard. Take it with the proper amount of salt . http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=97898069&postcount=394

- First, and one that’s been coming from several people: Joaquin Phoenix is going to be Lex Luthor. Seems entirely possible. Mostly because people like money and it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Phoenix to be Lex Luthor in this Universe and do other films that might be more important to him. Either this is something that Warner Bros really wants to happen or it is already happening for a five-picture deal. That’s the spectrum of this rumor.
- Citation :
Second, Kevin Smith has seen a Jim Lee-inspired Batsuit. It’s hard to tell who is parrotting Smith and who is an independent source confirming a rumor, but it seems likely to me that Batman will don the Grey-and-Blue on screen for the first time since Adam West. That means tiny ears on the cowl and a big black bat across the chest. This seems like it’s happening. The more interesting thing I’ve heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 batsuits in the film, but where as Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it, the second Batsuit is more armored like the one in the Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come comics. I bring this up, because this rumor seems a bit more expected in a movie where Batman fights Superman, because: of course, Batman would die without an armored suit. However, this suit is still being designed, so Kevin Smith can Jennifer Garner can’t tell you about it yet. This also made me think better about that time I heard Superman’s design is being tweaked to look more Kingdom-Come-ish as well (S-curl, ho?) - Citation :
- Third, Josh Holloway: they want him to be Aquaman. Go back to the rumor post I put up this week, sharp-eyed viewers will notice I cut one of the spoilers from the forum post. I did that because it speculated on who WB wants for Aquaman and it looked like old news. The new news that seems the most likely is WB is talking to CBS to reach a deal with Holloway and his series Intelligence. They seem to like Josh Holloway enough that one of our sources believes it will dictate Aquaman’s involvement. I haven’t heard great things about Intelligence and I’d prefer Sawyer wipe out Vincent Chase’s hold on the Aquaman spot in my brain. Man, in hindsight, I wish I hadn’t watched so much Entourage.
- Citation :
- Fourth, since why-the-hell-not, it sounds like Batman and Robin’s rumored conflict in MOS2 is going to lead to some Affleck solo bat-films. Those films might be looking for both Red Hoods and Nightwings (thoroughly skipping over years in the Batman mythology) and I guess they like Jensen Ackles from the CW’s Supernatural for one of those parts. Supernatural fans, welcome to Batman world.

Something I need to get off of my chest.
When I do press, I try and be open, honest and thoughtful. That being said... I find it incredibly discouraging to see a headline like the ones I've been seeing this morning. Headlines that aren't just a stretch, they're totally fabricated. At no point, have I had "studio level" discussions about any feature films at Warner Bros.
In this particular instance, when I read articles that take a pretty straightforward answer and slap a title on it that has little to no correlation to what I've actually said, it makes it seem as though I'm disrespecting my current position. Which is bullshit. And why would I do that? I mean... I'm not the smartest dude in the world. (After all... I picked a career in acting.) But would I really just casually subvert a process cloaked in secrecy? A process - by the way - being run by the company who currently employs me. C'MON!
We're making a kick ass show. We will continue to make a kick ass show. And I will continue to interact and provide interesting content for our fans. Because I love our fans. If every once and a while, some dickweed wants to pull a headline out of thin air to generate page views, then that's the price we pay.

ARROW Star Stephen Amell Had 'Studio Level' Talks About Appearing In JUSTICE LEAGUE http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=93273 Mouahahahah Pour le numéro 1: BINGO!
