Okay, okay, you guys know me. I don't normally post articles from sources that are not verifiable, but this news is just too juicy to pass up—and it's impossible for me to validate the news without blowing my source's cover—so here goes...

This news comes from a "plot outliner" (he couldn't or wouldn't tell me his actual title) at Warner Bros. Apparently, before a screenwriter is hired, one or more of these "plot outliners" figure out the basic building blocks of the story—characters, setting, theme, etc.—and then pass it on to the screenwriter to be hammered into the movie script format.

2. The Riddler is the primary villain and he figures out Batman's identity.

3. Arkham Asylum will figure prominently in the story.

5. Barbara Gordon will have a featured role.

6. Commissioner Gordon will mention Metropolis and possibly Lex Luthor.

I know that you can't trust anything on IMDb faster than you can throw it. But still, a couple of "uninvolved" posters (meaning they post on various movies and don't look to be just a Batman-obsessed fan) posted a couple of interesting things. One guy posted that according to his insider at WB,

"'GOTHAM CITY' is the proposed title. The plan seems to be to shoot a four and a half hour epic but release it as two films, ala Kill Bill. Talks are already under way with Marion Cotillard, Michelle Yeoh and Jackie Earle Haley as the Riddler."

Another one who claims to have an insider and that seems not completely uncredible mentions,

"that first choice would be actor Mark Strong, Nolan wants him and already had a first talk with him about it although no script yet, only storyline. For this reason, there surely will be second choices and maybe Pierce will be one of them. The same is for Cottilard, also in talks but nothing 100% percent yet."

They also didn't mention any character names, so as not to 'ruin' the surprise.

Again, don't shoot me...I just thought it was kinda slow on here, so I thought I would post a couple of interesting rumors I found on IMDb. If anyone has an IMDb account and wants to PM the users and investigate further whether they're telling some truth for themselves, you can PM and I'll give you the link to the posts.

Jackie Earle Haley, Mark Strong ... euh se sont pas trompé de film là ??? Parce que la compèt' c'est sur Green Lantern plus sûrement que sur Batman 3 qu'elle se déroule. Je dis ça je dis rien.

Gotham City comme titre, encore une fois, ça tient de l'anticipation de fan ça. Ce n'est evidemment que mon avis mais je ne vois pas Nolan partir sur une voie qui a été largement évoquée, je parierais plutôt sur une surprise.

Encore que j'en doute un peu. Nolan est très conventionnel, je ne le voyais déjà pas tourner deux épisodes à la suite comme les rumeurs le laissaient entendre entre Batman Begins et TDK, là c'est un peu la même chose. Mais encore une fois, je ne dispose d'aucune information sur la question, je ne fais que donner mon sentiment sur le sujet.

Et par contre un point qui n'a semble-t'il pas été évoqué pour cet épisode: en 3D ou pas ???

Hormis les trois premiers le reste ne tient pas debout, du moins au regard de ce que Nolan a fait sur les deux premiers épisodes et exprimé à côté (il a affirmé à plusieurs reprises qu'il n'y aurait pas de Robin et que Batman était le seul super-héros de son univers).

Ou alors la Warner reprends la main à la sauce Marvel pour lancer la JLA. Ce dont je doute tout autant pour être honnête.

Bon alors, en 3D ou pas Batman 3 ???

Tient d'ailleurs j'ai un titre tout fait: BATMAN 3D !!!

Vu ce que disent ces rumeurs, on sent que c'est vraiment la dèche chez les batfans. Comme Jkks, les points 4, 5, 6 et 7 de "TT" me paraissent hautement improbables (et si ça se fait je serais franchement déçu a priori... maintenant on sait jamais hein mais bon les idées évoquées ne me plaisent carrément pas).

Quant au(x) film(s) de 4h30, même si ça me botterait bien en soi, j'en doute fortement. Et pas forcément le bon choix non plus pour la suite de Dark Knight, c'est toujours hyper casse-gueule comme format (Pirates, Matrix... je vois que Kill Bill qui ait réussi entièrement son pari de ce point de vue et encore, le contexte artistique et commercial était complètement différent). Mais bon à mon avis cela relève du fantasme plus qu'autre chose.

Vivement une annonce officielle, parce que là ça devient intenable, je vais plus pouvoir supporter ces rumeurs longtemps lol (même si elles sont toujours funs à lire).

le problème étant que ces personnages sont loin de l'univers de Nolan.à moins qu'ils les introduisent comme le fut Scarecrow dans TDK,avec la petite scène des copieurs,ou alors,si Arkham a son importance dans le film,leur faire faire un caméo dans ce lieu en tant que détenus;mais ça ne collerait pas,ce genre de personnages ne peut être capturé que par Batman,et si on ne voit pas les faits,alors aucun intérêt de les introduire.et perso,pas envie de les voir tout simplement.

il fut un temps,Nolan avait annoncé qu'il faisait Batman,sans la moindre intention de le préparer une intro à la JLA.ces mentions feraient référence à des personnages dotés de super-pouvoirs (Superman),et je ne pense pas que ce soit l'approche vue par Nolan.très peu crédible.

oui mais dans ce cas,pourquoi introduire Dick Grayson si ce n'est pas pour qu'il Robin?intérêt zéro.et person,pas envie de voir le personnage.

Attention, sans vouloir casser l'enthousiasme général, j'espere (comme l'a indiqué slash film) que Nikki Finke ne spécule pas.

Arf on a l'habitude maintenant ! Si on fait un best of de toutes les rumeurs depuis la sortie du TDK sa fait presque 2 ans que le film est écrit, qu'il est tourné fin limite il sort au mois d'aout juste après Inception... lol
On est plus a une deception près .... lol

Ca dérangerait vraiment Goyer d'aller voir ailleurs si j'y suis ???
Non parce que mine de rien ça serait pas mal de laisser Jonathan Nolan bosser là.

Du moment que fait pas trop de bruit (comme sur tdk) me dérange pas maintenant, si c un mec assez carré niveau structure et qui a certainement pas mal de connaissance comics (que Jonah a) je comprends toujours pas ce qu'il fait la en effet..
